Friday, March 7, 2014

McCook Community Foundation Fund members present Hillcrest Nursing Home and the Hillcrest Foundation Board with a $3,000 check that will help meet the 20 percent match required for new bus. Grant funds to purchase the bus came from the Nebraska Transportation Department. McCook Community Foundation Fund (an affiliated fund of the Nebraska Community Foundation) inspires investment in the quality of life for the people of Southwest Nebraska. Members said this donation shows that "McCook is a place where people help people!" Shown with the check are Hillcrest residents, Catherine Reiners, left, and Imelda Hays. Back row, Pam Harsh, Hillcrest Foundation Director; Don Harpst, McCook Community Foundation Fund; Roy League, Hillcrest resident; Colinda Nappa, Hillcrest administrator and Dale Dueland, McCook Community Foundation Fund member.

  • this is another good example of why people need to donate to the foundation---remember if we meet our goal we will get a match
